The combination of crispy French fries with cheese curds topped with brown gravy is the perfect dish that no one can resist.

How to make a tradition Poutine?

Although the name “Poutine” seems too fancy and complicated dish but the reality is soo opposite. With the use of the right ingredients, you can easily make the restaurant-style Poutine at your home.

To make this dish, you need to start by making some crispy French fries. Once fries are ready, take a large bowl and pour the fries into a bowl.  Now sprinkle some FRESH cheese curds(Make sure the cheese curds are squeaky) all over the fries. Finally, cover the fries and cheese curds with hot gravy. Delicious and traditional Canadian Poutine is ready to serve.

And the best part is you don’t have to stick with the traditional version; there is various poutine variation you can try. Some of the famous variations of Poutine are;

Turkey Poutine 

As mentioned above the traditional Poutine is made up of French fries with cheese curds and brown gravy. But if you have leftover turkey in your kitchen, then shred the turkey pieces and put them on top of the Poutine. Not only will it gives you a nice, rich flavour, but it also makes you feel like you have a sound feast. At no extra cost, enjoy the dish with wine and friends and remember your Christmas. You can also add the chicken stock on top of the plate to make it more flavorful and delicious.

Poutine Galvaude

Poutine galvalume is another significant variation of a traditional Poutine dish. A chicken piece (cube, shredded, sliced) is added, with some green peas added. With French fries, cheese curds, chicken and green peas,a hot poutine gravy completes the Poutine Galvaude.

This recipe is perfect for the people who have leftover chicken in their fridge and want to use it on Christmas Eve. You can accompany this dish with coleslaw salad.

Sweet potato Poutine 

If you want to try a completely differentPoutine variety, try making the Poutine with sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are very rich in nutrition and have antioxidants and also blood regulating. So if you want to go for a healthy meal, then sweet potato Poutine is the right choice for you. With the addition of sweet potatoes and cheese curd, the taste of this dish will be sweeter and less savoury.
